Summer Foundation Must-Haves

For the first half of this summer season, i’ve fallen in love with a few foundations that has made my summer looks the best yet. Tested and worn from morning to night, and through various festivities both calm and wild, these four foundations have been my go to, long-lasting, camera ready favorites.

Becca Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme – $44.00

This product right here is my HOLY GRAIL, literally. It is full coverage, matte, oil free, budge free, waterproof, slap-proof, you name it . I can apply this foundation in the morning and head back out at night with my face still in tact (minimal glisten). This is my go-to when I know my outings will involve lots of sweat and wild behavior. Try taking a napkin to your face with this on. Foundation- 1  vs  Napkin- 0.

My shade in this is Espresso (formerly named Mink).

Cover Fx Power Play Foundation – $44.00

I adore this product so much not only because it is full coverage but it’s also super light weight. I can count on this to last me all day and it feels like I barely have anything on. This product is compatible with oily and combination skin types with its amazing ability to contain sweat and prevent that annoying shiny look. With it’s simple yet chic packaging and it’s aptitude to stay true to color all day, Power Play has definitely earned a spot on my foundation ‘hall of fame’ shelf.

My shade in this is N110.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick – $46.00

Before purchasing this product, I really wanted the Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation by Bobbi Brown as I am more so a fan of liquid foundations than I am stick foundations. However I wasn’t able to find a shade that matched my undertone well (inserts sad face) which fortunately brought me to this bad boy. The particular range of color and undertones it carries are the most beautiful shades I have ever seen. My skins undertone (for my face) is neutral but for this foundation, I opted for a more red undertone after testing both shades, which provides me a natural tanned look that I adore. The quality and texture of this foundation is smooth and velvety and delivers medium to full coverage when applied.

My shade in this is Cool Walnut 8.25.

Lancôme Tient Idole Ultra Wear – $47.00

This Foundation is my baby for life. From the packaging, to the texture, to the finish. It’s formula is set to adjust to your skin type to provide the perfect finish for your makeup. Once applied, I  have no need for blotting powders or touch ups. This foundation is matte, provides medium to full coverage and is also oil- free. It also contain SPF 15, perfect for day time wear. With this foundation, Lancôme will have you fully covered with warranty.

My shade in this is 520 Suede W.
